13 July 2008 - Destiny Churches New Zealand

Destiny Church leader Bishop Brian Tamaki is not contemplating standing in the upcoming Election, contrary to media reports today.

The reports come ahead of a documentary screening this week that features Bishop Tamaki and Destiny Church.

Church spokesperson Janine Cardno says the documentary footage dates between 12 to 24 months old and is out of context with today's political setting.

Bishop Tamaki is not a member of any political party.
